Permalink Reply by Pat Morgan on October 20, 2011 at 3:22pm Hi I am Pat Morgan, Director of Marketing for National Payment Card Association. We provide merchant branded debit cards. Our program is a combo payment and loyalty card on a single plastic. We have to date been serving the c-store and petroleum retailers around the country, but have recently made enhancements that now allow us to bring our program to grocers. We are very excited about what we have to offer given Durbin-fatigue and the fact that retailers were not given the relief they sought. We are seeing a great deal of momentum among all sizes of grocers wanting to consider any type of option that lets them gain greater control over their cost of payments, while engendering sustained loyalty among their customers. Having your own debit card, that is free to your customers is one avenue to consider.
Nice to be part of the group!

We understand that energy is often your largest variable cost, and these programs help small and large facilities with commercial refrigeration reduce operating costs with energy-efficient upgrades and retrofits. Businesses located in participating utilities benefit from no-cost energy audits, recommendations for energy-efficient upgrades, and rebates to offset the purchase price of new equipment. In California, we’re also creating jobs for young surveyors – visit www.energysmartjobs.org. In the Pacific NW, visit www.energysmartonline.org. Or I’m happy to answer any questions you may have!
Permalink Reply by Roland Januzzi on May 4, 2012 at 5:32pm Just signed on. New to the grocery business but have been successful in retail for 35 years. Looking to diversify with an innovative distribution channel in center-aisle goods that would not compete directly with traditonal grocery, convenience or big-box stores. My opening question - what is the best way to obtain these categories for resale and how to go about finding suppliers that will service a single-store start-up? Potential for multiple locations in multiple states if the concept takes off in one local area.
