Hello Everyone,

My name is Michael Romelotti and I work for Sears Holdings Corp Real Estate Group(SHC Realty) under a recent intiaitive to unlock and maximize the underlying leasehold/real estate value of the operating store portfolio, through sub-leasing, vis-a-vis downsizing the K-mart/Sears Box . Therefore, due to my signifiant background in Supermarket real estate debvelopment, my sole appointed directive is to attract supermarket retailers to the SHC Realty enterprise; this initiative involves other potential reatil categories, but I'm charged only with the grocery piece.

I invite any independent regional or national chain to contact me for further discussion. As all of you know, there are many markets that have high barrier to entry dynamics: high cost of real estate; lack of real estate inventory; topographical challenges, etc... As we control some of the best retail real estate in the country, our portfolio can diminish these challenges. The optimum opportunity is for a 20,000 - 40,000 sq. ft. grocery box, thereby allowing us to continue the existing K-mart/Sears operation.

Therefore, I invite all inquiries from all grocers around the country.

I look forward to responding to comments and questions.

Regards,

Michael Romelotti

Check out the above links to be able to travel to one of BAERO lighting's supermarket projects. The links use our newly acquired Gigpan system to create a great way to explore the store from your own office or home.

Sorry I missed the mail Joe, plus I've been out on vacation. That sounds great, call me?

I just sent out a message to the group, but I'll repost it here along with the picture. I am just not all that familiar on how to work social networking sites.

Regardless, the site plan is below. As you can see, I have a Food Lion logo on it, but that's because we had a Bloom going in there, but it didn't happen. The grocery is away from the in-line retail. What do you think about that? I can see advantages to being attached and also being apart from the in-line. What do you prefer?

Do you guys know of any independent grocers that would like to see a site in Loudon County, Virginia? Those photos look like the kind of store I'd like to have anchor our retail development. The site is across from a town square and in front of 650 newly-built homes.

Steve - great looking store, plus it has an interesting story behind it. I'd love to profile it in an upcoming issue of PG Independent, and maybe run a photo gallery of how it looked before the fire, of the damage that was done, and the new store. How tough was it to rebound from the fire?

More pictures of the Troy, TN store...

Here's our all new Troy, TN facility that was destroyed by fire on October 31, 2009. The store officially reopened on November 5th, with all new eco-friendly additions, a full service meat department, full service Deli-Bakery and a Subway store inside.
We put a high emphasis on cool, relaxed colors and atmosphere with this store
