RV 2 made its way down to Brooklawn, NJ for a stop at Browns Shoprite. Brown's has been in business for 22 years and owns 10 stores. We met two very intelligent gentlemen who were very forward thinking and willing to evaluate and try new concepts and solutions in order to improve their operation. We not only provided valuable information to the gentlemen, but also received it from the gentlemen who gave us great insight from their operation and experience. Experience in the industry is priceless and we gain from each of the independent's experience at each and every stop we make. The Cash Handling lane was a big hit on this stop as it has been at most stops, because retailers can easily see the huge savings in time and labor cost associated with removing the till from the operation.

RV 2 stopped in Eickhoff Shoprite this morning in Riverton, NJ.  This Shoprite is a large store with tons of choices for the consumer!  I really envy the shoppers who have the opportunity to shop here.  We met with two representatives of the store and had a great meeting.  From here we're headed down the road a short distance to another Shoprite store in Brooklawn, NJ.

After leaving Bethlehem, RV 2 travelled to Amelia's Grocery Outlet Corporate Center in New Holland, PA where we met with a couple of the nicest guys in the world!  Amelia's Grocery Outlet is a family business that has been operating for 22 years.  One of the Amelia's members made a statement that is so true in the grocery industry, "The independent grocer has to be the innovator and differentiate himself from the competition."  It's great to be a part of this company and tour that works to help the independent grocer do just that, be innovative!

RV 2 met up this morning with a couple of members of Lehigh Gas Corporation in Bethlehem, PA.  Lehigh Gas Corporation supplies about 700 stores.  We had a great discussion about current and future technology possibilities in the grocery and convenience store industries.  As with everyone we have met with so far on the tour, the Lehigh Gas Corporation members really liked the fact that the cash is removed from the attendant's responsibility with the Cash Handling Lane.  It doesnt take long at all to do the math on the savings potential when the cash till no longer needs to be prepared and reconciled!

After leaving Orwigsburg, RV 2 travelled to Bill's Shoprite in Moscow, PA.  Bill's Shoprite is a large store with a ton of products to offer.  There is also a Bill's Shoprite in Mount Pocono, PA.  The Bill's group purchased products from Pan-Oston in the recent past and it was very good to hear that they were pleased with the products.  Bill's Shoprite is currently in the process of implementing one of the innovative products that we show on the RV in their stores.  We had a great day on tour today and are looking forward to another great day tomorrow!

This morning RV 2 made its way through the hills and valleys to the Boyer's Food Markets corporate office in Orwigsburg, PA.  A single member of the Boyer's group boarded the RV to scope out what we had to offer and liked it so much that he went back inside the office and brought back three other members of his team!  The Boyer's team was impressed with the products and innovations they saw and gave comments like, "that's amazing!"  It gave us a rewarding and satisfying feeling to see the Boyer's team truly appreciate the latest developments and technologies in the grocery industry.

Today RV 2 stopped at the office of Acme Markets in Malvern, PA.  Acme Markets operates 117 stores in 4 states.  They have had self-checkout lanes in their stores for 6 years.  They have seen a very high percentage of their customers use and enjoy the option of self-checkout.  Acme also offers other advanced applications in their stores as well that allow their customers to have a better shopping experience.  Our discussion today revealed a fact that is so often overlooked, the fact that advanced technology makes the shopping experience more personal, quicker, and easier for the shopper today.  Every store owner we meet understands that the success of their business depends on the satisfaction of their customer.  The Acme Markets team could easily identify with the way our products could provide solutions for the challenges of today's grocers and the needs of today's grocery shoppers.

RV 2 stopped this morning at Glass Garden Shoprite in Rochelle Park, NJ.  The Shoprite members really liked the way the Cash Handling lane can control cash shortages and practically eliminate time spent preparing and reconciling tills.  The team immediately saw how much they could save in those two factors alone and realized how quick the ROI for this lane could be.  The Shoprite members were very friendly and interactive, making this meeting a great pleasure.  It has been another great week on tour and now we are flying home for Memorial Day weekend.  Please remember those who are and have served in our nation's armed forces.  Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

RV 2 met yesterday with Wegmans in Rochester, NY.  Wegmans takes great pride in delivering outstanding customer service.  They have heard the requests of their customers and met those requests by offering self-checkouts in many of their stores.  We had a great meeting and really enjoyed the time we spent with them.

RV 2 spent the afternoon in Albany, NY meeting with a member of Xtra Mart.  Xtra Mart is a convenience store group that has stores throughout New York and the New England area.  We are heading west to Rochester, NY for tomorrow.
