Buff Lo Dip is a buffalo wing and ranch combination flavor dip that can be used as a dip or a sauce to use on many different foods. We entered our first store July 13, 2011 and now have about 120 stores in Ohio selling the product. We just won the Editor's Pick award for Progressive Grocer Magazine and the article should be in the August 2012 edition. Feel free to check us out at www.bufflodip.com .

"Saluti" (greetings) to all friend members! After several years working in global Sales & Marketing at Procter & Gamble, 5 years ago I had the pleasure to enter the business of Italian food to the world. Such an exciting opportunity as it allows me to operate on a key element of the Italian culture - well rooted in our traditions - while keeping strong connections with people from many different countries of the planet. This is a particularly favourable moment for the Mediterranean food, and the Italian in particular, as it is an optimal combination of taste, nutritional values and emotions. I look forward sharing with you this opportunity. Any question, do not hesitate to contact me. A presto.

I'm a technician and driver for the Pan-Oston Utopia Across America Tour. In my relatively short time in the grocery industry I have had an opportunity to meet with over houndreds of grocers and to visit numerous stores on the UAA Tour. I have enjoyed getting to know lots of folks and talking about their businesses. I have also had the opportunity drive through many scenic areas while on the tour last year and it has made me aware of what privalidge it is to live in such a diverse and beautiful country. Keep an eye out for me and one our red, white, and blue Innovation Centers as you travel chances are one will be coming to a town near you soon.

Welcome Mike.  Save-A Lot seems to be having great growth in Cleveland.  Like many retailers, conventional grocery is seeing a decline in regions that are suffering from economic downturns.  We relocated to Ohio from the Portland, OR area and I am surprised at the lack of competition in the region.  It was a shock to go from a city where rival chains set up shop across the street from each other, to a city where there are few viable chains operating at all.  Of course population drop and economics has made it a less than attractive location for retailers to expand.  Thank goodness Save-A-Lot and Aldi's are here to fill the gap.  Congratulations on your growth and continued success.

If there is anything we can ever do for you in the way of drawings or design, let me know.

I am Mike Stout, Director of License Business Development with Save-A-Lot Food Stores (a division of SUPERVALU NYSE:  SVU, a Fortune 100 company), based in St. Louis, Missouri.  In my role I am responsible for the recruitment of licensees and new store growth.

Save-A-Lot is one of the nation's leading extreme value and carefully selected assortment grocery chains operating nearly 1,200 value-oriented stores in all types of neighborhoods — urban, rural and suburban. Save-A-Lot delivers customers terrific savings, up to 40% compared to conventional grocery stores.  Independent licensed retailers own and operate about 75% of these locations and are the primary drivers of Save-A-Lot’s continued growth.  Save-A-Lot plans to double the size of the chain over the next five years though the recruitment of new independent licensees and corporate store development.

Prior to joining Save-A-Lot, I spent the last 18 years involved in international and domestic franchise development and operations with various quick service restaurant and service related brands including Carl’s Jr./ Hardee’s, Papa John’s, Subway, Baskin Robbins and Volvo Construction Equipment Rental.

My 25+ years experience of owning and managing a group of retail grocery stores (IGA's) helps me understand the day-to-day pressures that independently owned retailers face.  I understand the long hours, small profit margins, and stiff competition.

As a Risk Manager, I provide insurance solutions for the supermarket industry.  From single store operators, to multi store chains.  My goal is to work diligently to provide cost-effective solutions to complex insurance issues.  I have a thorough understanding of both the retail grocery industry and the insurance industry and look forward to connecting with and meeting many fine folks in the grocery industry.

Welcome new group members!
Bob, we should talk sometime about how your products help grocers save money. I write a blog about sustainability, Cleveland, and marketing in a techie world. The energy savings aspects of your products might be a great topic for our blog and something we should have in our back pocket for grocery designs....
